In this 5-Part Series on Anger & Rage in Motherhood, we will continue to look at the topics introduced in the Initial Workshop in more depth.

Have you struggled with anger and/or rage since becoming a mother? Often when these feelings come up, they can become so powerful that they take over and we can feel helpless and out of control. 

Join these sessions to create an opportunity to shift how you view your anger, how you see yourself, and help you to make lasting changes. You will be invited to learn more about what triggers your anger, how to start recognizing warning signs and learn coping strategies to deal with these feelings and the behaviours that come with it. This workshop will also provide opportunity for connecting with other women who have similar struggles in their journey through motherhood.

These classes are facilitated in an interactive online class by Jen Reddish, Counsellor at The Essence of You, specialist in mental health in post-partum & motherhood.

Each Session will allow time for each participant to share examples from their lives and discuss with other participants while being led by Jen with further information and feedback.

Fear is one of the biggest obstacles to having a positive birth & post-partum experience; and this Birth Preparation Workshop will give you an opportunity to explore and process your fears and identify what you need to do to move past these so that you can focus on your goals for your birth & post-partum.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Identify your expectations and goals for your birth and post-partum period

  • Identify fears and other obstacles that may prevent you from having a positive birth and transition into the post-partum period

  • Begin the process of allowing yourself to let go of fears and expectations in a creative activity to help with this release

  • Look at anticipatory changes for once baby comes

  • Create birth affirmation keepsakes for you to have with you during your labour

  • Connect with other women who are striving for a positive and empowering birth experience

Discovering Motherhood Group Therapy

This group offers a safe space for mothers to share, connection and develop more self-awareness. This group series will be centered around relationships with a focus on sharing and processing current issues that participants are experiencing. Each session there will be opportunity for members to share current struggles and receive feedback while also learning new skills and coping strategies.

Groups are run by Jen Reddish, Counsellor and Psychotherapist at The Essence of You.This is a closed group with 5 sessions. You do not need to be a new mother to join. Mothers in any stage who are seeking a desire to process their journey and the impact that becoming a mother has had on them are welcome. Emotions, Nutrition & Body Image: A workshop held by Body Image experts Jen Reddish (Counsellor from The Essence of You) and Jenna Lessner (Nutritional Consultant from Simply Nurtured) .

In this workshop, Jen and Jenna will be talking about the impact that emotions and nutrition have on Body Image. This will give you a complete understanding of how to move forward in creating a healthier relationship with your body, from the inside out.
