When We Rise Together: The Power of Collaboration and Community in Healing
I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve been reflecting on how fast life moves—how quickly seasons change, how quickly our attention shifts, and how easy it is to get caught up in the noise of comparison. One thing that keeps surfacing for me is this: when we drop competition and stop putting each other down, we begin to rise ourselves. There’s a deep freedom in releasing that old paradigm, and it opens space for something much more expansive.
I’ve also been noticing how much trust plays a role in this process—trusting that the right people will find their way to us. Trusting that our unique gifts and offerings will resonate with those who need them most.
Something that’s been sitting with me lately is how unique our healing journeys are. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to self-growth. The most powerful thing we can do is learn to listen to our own inner knowing, to honour our intuition, and to let it guide us toward the right path for our specific needs, challenges, and goals.
To be honest, I used to feel threatened when I saw another business offering the same type of sessions as I was—when I thought my work was completely unique. I remember the very first time this happened, soon after starting my private practice nearly ten years ago now, my sister said to me:
"You don’t need to be the only one, Jen. You need to be the first or the best—and you’re both."
It was a nice little ego boost—and I sure loved receiving that validating feedback from my big sister, who I looked up to so much! So, I worked really, really hard to be the best, that’s for sure.
Looking back now, I no longer agree with that approach. I don’t think I need to be “the best,” but I do need to be in alignment with my authentic self, and I need to be working within my integrity. When I offer my work from this space of authenticity, I trust that the clients who are meant for me will find their way to me—and the others will find their way to the practitioners who are right for them. Who or what is “best” is all relative.
This perspective is at the heart of the Healing for Healers community. This network isn’t just about collaboration—it’s about being seen, supported, and held in community as you take up space as your true, authentic self. It’s about allowing yourself to connect and receive, instead of always being the one holding space for others.
I didn’t “create” this community from an intellectual thought process. It was spirit-led—a divine download that came to me in a split second, and I simply followed the vision. I didn’t know what would unfold, but it has blossomed into a vibrant, diverse community of professionals lifting each other up, celebrating each other’s successes, and creating space for connection, support, and shared growth.
By collaborating, sharing resources, and introducing clients to each other’s amazing gifts and services, we create a ripple effect: more people experience the transformation they need, our networks grow, and our impact expands. And the best part? We do this without competition, without comparison, without diminishing anyone else’s light.
This weekend, I am so excited to be inviting three of my favourite practitioners to contribute sessions at the Metamorphosis Group Therapy Retreat that I’m holding with a group of amazing long term clients of mine—it’s an experience designed to support deep reflection, growth, and transformations. And looking ahead to March, the Alignment Retreat will feature six incredible practitioners, each offering heart-led sessions alongside me. I cannot wait to witness the magic that emerges when passionate healers come together in community and collaboration.
Each time I bring different practitioners together for a Healing for Healers Retreat, it feels more magical than the last… I am so excited for the afternoon H4H on November 23rd and of course for the next full weekend H4H retreat in 2026!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that our journeys are richer when we rise together. When we release comparison, trust our inner guidance, embrace collaboration, and allow ourselves to receive support, we not only expand our own healing and growth—but we create a space where others can flourish too.
Here’s to listening inward, trusting the process, and celebrating the ways we can lift each other up—both giving and receiving—in community.
