Step into a guided, transformative day designed to reconnect you with your body, your inner wisdom, and your most authentic self. Through a blend of IFS-informed therapy, somatic practices, breathwork, meditation and expressive arts, you’ll receive the gentle yet powerful invitation to connect with who you are.

This one day women’s retreat is being led by Registered Master Therapeutic Counsellor Jen Reddish with contributions from Trina Metz, Amy Bye, and Lora Pesant.

Jen Reddish

Jen has a strong passion for supporting women to connect to their authentic sense of self through body & emotional awareness. This retreat was created to give women a space to return to again and again - to give yourself an opportunity for real, deeper level self care in a safe, supportive environment.

Trina Metz

Trina Metz supports women in cultivating deeper connection to their bodies, emotions, and inner wisdom through embodiment and intuitive practices. With her grounded and compassionate presence, Trina gently guides participants to slow down, listen deeply, and access the intelligence of their own bodies. She creates a nurturing container for embodied awareness, self-acceptance, and meaningful transformation. 

Amy, a Certified Aromatherapist, Holistic Practitioner, and the founder of Luna Rose Remedies, has nearly 20 years of experience in the wellness industry. Her expertise includes providing hands-on holistic treatments, formulating aromatherapy remedies, and teaching breathwork techniques. Amy firmly believes in the power of nature to nurture and heal.

Lora Pesant from Adventures in Wellness

Lora is a lifelong learner, mental health advocate, and the founder of Adventures in Wellness, where she blends movement, mindfulness, laughter, and nature to make wellness approachable and lighthearted. With lived experience of anxiety and ADHD, Lora is passionate about creating warm, welcoming spaces where people feel safe, seen, and connected. Her bottom-up approach to healing starts with the body and builds toward emotional well-being; with plenty of room for laughter, joy, and an abundance of dance parties!

With a background in facilitation, yoga, reflexology, community building, and nonprofit work, Lora is continually inspired by the resilience of the human spirit and the powerful connections that emerge when people come together in authentic support. She is a certified Peer Supporter in mental health and Western Canada's only Laughter Yoga Master Trainer. Lora fosters animals, loves camping with her family, and is forever curious! As a contributor to the Embodied Self Connection retreat, she brings her unique blend of lived experience and embodied practice to help participants reconnect with their bodies and inner wisdom through joy, movement, and presence.

What to Expect:

This entire day has been created to expand of your awareness of your body, emotions, and thoughts to bring you in closer connection with your sense of self, increase your confidence & understand how to support all parts of yourself through various challenges in your life.

You will be able to participate in this session at a pace that feels safe for you and either keep your insights to yourself or ask questions and share if you feel inclined to as you follow along with the guided activities.

Itinerary:

10:00 - 11:30am Opening Circle - The Essence of You
Facilitator: Jen Reddish, The Essence of You Counselling
Set intentions and create a felt experience of authentic self-connection while creatively exploring the question, “Who Am I?”

11:30am - 12:00pm Aromatic Breathwork Experience
Facilitator: Amy Bye, Luna Rose Remedies
Engage in breathwork enhanced with essential oils to deepen your connection with your inner self.

12:00 - 12:30pm Reflect & Debrief - What Awakened in Your Body During Breathwork? Facilitator: Jen Reddish, The Essence of You Counselling
Reflect through a guided journaling practice and if you choose - share the sensations, emotions, and insights that emerged during the breathwork practice.

12:30 - 1:15pm Lunch
Enjoy a wholesome, catered lunch from The Heart of Bragg Creek, with glory bowls or wraps. These are both vegan, and the glory bowls are gluten free. 

1:15 - 1:45pm Nature Break & Sharing Circle – Connecting to Self Energy & Unveiling Hidden Parts Facilitator: Jen Reddish, The Essence of You Counselling During this nature break, you’ll find an item from the natural world that represents your core self and a hidden aspect of you, followed by a sharing circle where you'll reflect on how these elements connect to your inner energy and the parts of yourself you may keep hidden.

1:45-2:15pm Body, Breath & Joy Facilitator: Lora Pesant from Adventures in Wellness
Release tension and cultivate joy through playful laughter and breathwork exercises, helping you connect to your body and core self by activating natural energy and breaking through emotional barriers.

2:15-2:45pm Partner Processing - What Awakened in Your Body During Body, Breath & Joy? Facilitator: Jen Reddish, The Essence of You Counselling Pair up to reflect on the physical and emotional shifts that occurred during the Body, Breath & Joy session.

2:45 - 3:15pm Connecting to Your Wisdom Within - Body-Centered Meditation Facilitator: Trina Metz Reconnect with the wisdom you hold within yourself through a guided body-centered meditation that allows you to listen deeply to your body’s messages and foster healing.

3:15 - 4:00pm Your Body’s Wisdom - Art Therapy & Somatic Experiencing Facilitator: Jen Reddish, The Essence of You Counselling
Using expressive arts therapy and Somatic Experiencing to express and process the awareness gained from the meditation & other activities throughout the day. 

4:00 - 5:00pm Closing Circle - Commitments to Your Body, Your Emotions, and Your Self Facilitator: Jen Reddish
In this final circle, you will reflect on your journey throughout the day and set meaningful commitments to honor your body, emotions, and authentic self moving forward. This time is dedicated to grounding the insights gained and integrating them into your daily life, empowering you to nurture your physical well-being, embrace your emotions, and stay connected to your true essence. You will leave with a clear intention to carry forward the self-awareness and self-compassion cultivated during the retreat.

The Experience: A transformative journey designed to help you reconnect with your body, emotions, and sense of self. Through Somatic Experiencing, Expressive Arts Therapy, Aromatic Breathwork, Body-Centered Meditation, Laughter Yoga, and more, this full day is thoughtfully curated to foster a deep, EMBODIED sense of SELF-CONNECTION.

Investment: $199 (Includes lunch & snacks if you register before October 10th) Receipts will be issued for you to submit to your health insurance for reimbursement

Please note that all ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued for group events. Ticket transfers may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to facilitator approval to ensure the person you suggest is an appropriate fit for the retreat.
