December Live Session: Boundaries
Join us for Boundaries, a live, one-hour experiential session for anyone who knows they need better boundaries but finds it hard to actually hold them when it matters.
Most of us know what a boundary is. The harder part is setting one when someone might be disappointed, angry, upset, or think differently of us.
You might say yes when you really mean no. You might agree to something and regret it later. You might over-explain yourself, soften what you're asking for, or keep giving long after you've reached your limit. You might know exactly what you want to say, but then freeze, feel guilty, or talk yourself out of it.
Often, the problem isn't that you don't know how to set a boundary. It's that something inside you doesn't feel safe setting one.
Maybe there's a part of you that learned that keeping other people happy was the best way to stay connected. Maybe another part is terrified of conflict. Maybe you learned early on that having needs made you difficult, selfish, or too much. And when someone pushes against your boundary, those old patterns can take over before you even realize what's happening.
In this trauma-informed session, we'll use IFS (Internal Family Systems) to get curious about the parts of you that struggle with boundaries. Rather than judging the part of you that people-pleases, freezes, over-explains, or gives in, we'll learn to listen to what it's trying to protect you from.
Because these parts aren't trying to make your life harder. They're usually trying to keep you safe in the only ways they know.
Through guided reflection and experiential exercises, you'll have an opportunity to connect with these parts from a calmer, more compassionate place. We'll work on creating more space between the part of you that feels pressure to say yes and the part of you that knows what you actually need.
This is where boundaries can start to feel different.
Not as something you have to force yourself to do. Not as a performance of confidence. But as an expression of being connected to yourself.
We'll explore what it feels like to honour your needs without abandoning yourself, to tolerate someone else's disappointment without rushing to fix it, and to say no without needing to convince the other person that your no is valid.
The goal isn't to become harder or more guarded. It's to become more solid in yourself while staying connected to the people you care about.
What to Expect
This is a live, interactive one-hour video session that combines IFS tools, guided reflection, and experiential exercises. You'll have space to explore your own patterns, connect with the parts of you that get activated around boundaries, and learn practical ways to respond differently.
You'll also have the opportunity to share, ask questions, and hear from other women. One of the most relieving parts of doing this work in a group is realizing how common these struggles are. You may hear someone describe something you've been doing for years and suddenly think, Oh. It's not just me.
You don't need to have a specific boundary in mind or come with anything figured out. Just bring a willingness to get curious about what happens inside you when you try to choose yourself.
Your boundaries don't need to come from anger. They can come from self-respect.
