October Live Session: Leading from Your Body
Join us for Leading from Your Body (Not Your Mind), a live session about learning to trust what your body is telling you.
Most of us have been taught to make decisions by thinking harder. We analyze, make lists, weigh the pros and cons, ask other people what they think, and try to predict every possible outcome before we move. Our minds are incredibly useful, but many of us have become so accustomed to living from the neck up that we stop noticing what is happening underneath all that thinking.
The tightness in your chest when something isn't right. The expansion you notice when something feels like a yes. The heaviness that comes when you're moving away from yourself. Sometimes your body knows something before you have the words for it.
In this session, we'll explore what it means to bring the body back into the conversation when you're making decisions, navigating relationships, setting boundaries, or figuring out what you actually want. We'll look at the difference between intuition, fear, anxiety, desire, and old protective patterns, because not every strong body sensation is necessarily a message to follow. Sometimes the body is responding to something happening right now. Sometimes it's responding to something it remembers.
Learning to listen to your body isn't about abandoning your mind or making every decision based on a feeling. It's about letting your whole self have a seat at the table. We'll slow down and notice what happens inside you when you imagine saying yes or no, moving toward something or away from it, choosing what you want versus what you think you should want.
This can be especially powerful for women who have spent years overriding themselves—ignoring their needs, talking themselves out of their instincts, second-guessing their decisions, or choosing what makes sense on paper while something inside quietly says, this isn't it. When we repeatedly override those signals, it can become difficult to know what we actually feel or want. Part of this work is rebuilding that relationship with yourself.
Over time, you can become more familiar with your body's language. You can begin to recognize your yes and your no, notice when an old protective response is taking over, and pause before automatically overriding yourself. A different kind of confidence becomes possible—not the confidence that comes from knowing exactly what will happen, but the confidence that comes from trusting yourself to listen and respond as you move through it.
What to Expect
This is a live, interactive video session with guided reflection, somatic exploration, conversation, and space to share your own experience if you want to. You don't need to be “good” at feeling your body or have a strong sense of intuition. This is an opportunity to slow down, get curious, and begin noticing what your body has been communicating all along.
As with all of our live sessions, there is also something powerful about doing this work alongside other women. You may hear someone describe a sensation or experience that suddenly gives language to something you've felt yourself. We become mirrors for one another, and sometimes another woman's reflection helps us recognize something we couldn't quite see on our own.
You may leave with a clearer sense of what your body has been trying to tell you, and a little more trust in your ability to listen.
Your body has been part of every decision you've ever made. This is an invitation to start including it.
